Swatchmas Day 12: TIME Los Angeles Luxe Liquid Eye Shimmers

On the twelfth day of Swatchmas, I give you the four brand new Luxe Liquid Eye Shimmers from one of my absolute favorite brands, TIME Los Angeles. These are perfect for adding a shimmery something to any look. Since all four colors are neutrals for the most part, they can be used with a variety of eye looks and regular eye shadows.

You can get these directly from the TIME Los Angeles website for $20 each. They each contain 3 ml / 0.1 fl. oz of product, but since they’re absolutely loaded with beautiful, luxe sparkles, a little bit goes a long way! TIME Los Angeles is a cruelty-free company and all four of these liquid eye shadows are vegan.

The Luxe Liquid Eye Shimmers featured in this post are:

  • Pyrite:   Bronze gold shimmer
  • Starlight:   White gold shimmer
  • Champagne:   Champagne gold shimmer
  • Rosé :   Rose gold shimmer

Swatchmas Day 11: My Top 5 Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipsticks

On the eleventh day of Swatchmas, I give you my five favorite Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipsticks from Fenty Beauty by Rihanna! This formula is so creamy so it doesn’t dry out the lips, which is great, especially this time of year if you live in a colder, drier climate. They’re all very highly pigmented, comfortable and easy to apply and wear, and they have a soft, natural matte finish. As you can see from the photo below, some of these look almost new, but it’s because I’ve repurchased them or these are the backup lipsticks that I typically keep in my bag.

All of these lipsticks are permanent colors and are available directly from the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna website, or from Sephora’s website, Sephora stores, or Sephora inside JCPenney. Each one sells for $18 and contains 1.7 g / 0.06 oz of product. Fenty Beauty is a cruelty-free brand.

The Mattemoiselle Plush Matte lipsticks featured in this post are:

  • Spanked:   Dusty rose
  • Griselda:   Bold burgundy
  • Ma’Damn:   Royal red
  • Flamingo Acid:   Bright berry
  • Candy Venom:   Electric pink

Swatchmas Day 10: Melt Cosmetics Impulsive Eyeshadow Palette

On the tenth day of Swatchmas, I give you the Impulsive palette from Melt Cosmetics! This high quality palette contains a total of 18 eyeshadows/pressed pigments that range from matte to shimmery and even metallic. To make this even more usable, it also has a variety of bright, bold colors in addition to some staple neutrals. You can create a bazillion different looks with Impulsive, so I feel like this would make a really fun gift for anyone who loves makeup, including yourself!

The Impulsive palette sells directly from Melt’s website, or from Sephora (both in store and online), for $65 and contains a total of 20.240 g / .714 oz product. Melt Cosmetics is a cruelty-free company and most of the eyeshadows/pressed pigments in this palette ARE vegan, except for Bold and Boss Lady.

NOTE: I admit that some of these did not swatch very well on bare skin with no primer underneath them, but wearing a primer underneath these helps tremendously! You especially want to use a primer with the pressed pigment Go Getter, since it’s technically not FDA approved for use in the immediate eye area. In most cases (in my own personal experience), that means it may cause mild staining and some irritation if you’re sensitive to certain pigments, but using a primer underneath that color has prevented that (for me, anyway).

The pressed pigments/eyeshadows featured in the Impulsive palette are:

  • 2012:   Matte honey yellow
  • Rule Breaker:   Matte rusted orange
  • Go Getter:   Metallic vermillion with a pink shift
  • Dream Big:   Matte rich cinnamon
  • CEO:   Metallic warm bronze with a copper reflect
  • Boss Lady:   Matte burgundy
  • Game Changer:   Matte avocado green
  • Profesh:   Matte military green
  • Bold:   Matte rusted ginger
  • Makeup Junkie:   Metallic mauve purple with a pink shift and blue glitter flecks
  • Warehouse Party:   Metallic dusty coral with gold and green glittery reflects
  • Poppin Bottles:   Metallic baby pink with a green shift
  • Shots:   Metallic lilac with with a pearly pink shift
  • Tipsy:   Indigo blue base with multicolored metallic reflects
  • Cross Faded:   Periwinkle purple with a metallic blue shift
  • No Regrets:   Pale, almost ivory-periwinkle with a metallic pink and green shift
  • Morning After:   Rich mulberry with metallic blue reflects
  • Drunk Text:   Shimmery dark charcoal with iridescent reflects

Swatchmas Day 9: My Top 5 Kylie Cosmetics Lipsticks

On the ninth day of Swatchmas, I give you my five favorite bullet-style lipsticks from Kylie Cosmetics! There’s a mixture of both Matte and Creme formulas, but most of these are pretty neutral and would be wearable for many different people. Also, some of these look practically new, but that’s because I’ve either repurchased them or bought new ones to keep in my purse or for a backup, so that goes to show just how much I enjoy these!

All of these lipsticks sell for $17 and contain 3.5 g / 0.12 oz of product. You can get these directly from the Kylie Cosmetics website or from Ulta, both in store and from Ulta’s website. Ulta doesn’t seem to have Almost Friday, the one matte lipstick in my top 5, in stock as a single (it’s available like that on the Kylie website), but I got it in store as part of the holiday ‘Try It’ kit, which also includes an eye shadow duo, velvet liquid lipstick, lip pencil, and blush, so it’s a pretty good value at $29.40! Normally, that kit is $49, which is still a pretty good deal.

The lipsticks featured in this post are:

  • Creme Brulee:   Soft muted pink (creme)
  • Almost Friday:   Pale brick pink (matte)
  • Dulce de Leche:   Midtone toffee (creme)
  • Crush:   Soft warm pomegranate (creme)
  • Butterscotch:   Soft peach nude (creme)

Swatchmas Day 8: Anastasia Beverly Hills x Jackie Aina Eyeshadow Palette

On the eighth day of Swatchmas, I give you the Anastasia Beverly Hills x Jackie Aina eyeshadow palette! This palette is very nice, highly pigmented, but also versatile. It has both matte and metalic/shimmery shadows, as well as neutrals and bold, bright colors that any skintone can make the most of for all types of looks.

This palette contains 11 shadows and 3 pressed pigments. Pigments and pressed pigments are technically not intended for use around the direct eye area, so I suggest using them over a primer and with some caution if you are typically irritated by certain pigments… I’ve never had any issues with any of the ones in this palette, but they can stain a bit if worn directly on the skin without a primer.

The ABH x Jackie Aina palette sells for $45 and contains 11.11 g / 0.392 oz of product. You can pick this up directly from the ABH website, Ulta, Sephora, Macy’s, and several other retailers. Anastasia Beverly Hills is a cruelty-free brand.

The eyeshadows and pressed pigments featured in this palette are:

  • Soleil:   Metallic soft peach with a gold shift
  • Supreme:   Matte rosy pink (pressed pigment)
  • Pinker:   Matte mid-tone cool plum (pressed pigment)
  • Big Wig:   Matte rich purple (pressed pigment)
  • Dwollahs:   Metallic golden olive
  • Credit:   Deep matte plum brown
  • Lituation:   Metallic deep taupe with a violet shift
  • Zamn:   Sparkling rose gold
  • Wiggalese:   Metallic cranberry red
  • Shookington:   Metallic violet with a blue shift
  • Trust Issues:   Sparkling white gold
  • Edges:   Matte deep peach
  • Sponsored:   Metallic chocolate with a teal shift
  • Ginger:   Matte caramel brown

Swatchmas Day 7: My Top 5 Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipsticks

On the seventh day of Swatchmas, I give you my five favorite matte liquid lipsticks from Kylie Cosmetics. I feel like the formula has actually improved over the years and with all the sales at Ulta and on the Kylie Cosmetics website all the time, you really get a product that’s worth the money with these! They wear well, for a VERY long time, without getting slimy or pilling, so these are among some of my favorite liquid lipsticks on the market these days.

Some of these are available in lip kits (Boss, Kylie, Angel, Bare) that include a liner with the liquid lipsticks. The lip kits are a good value at $29 for a Matte Liquid Lipstick that contains 3.25 g / 0.11 oz of product and a Pencil Lip Liner that contains 1 g / .03 oz of product. Some of these are also available as single Matte Liquid Lipsticks (Angel, Bare, and The Bigger The Hoops), which sell for $17 and contain the same 3.25 g / 0.11 oz of product. You can purchase these online from the Kylie Cosmetics website, and some of these are available at Ulta stores and on the Ulta website, but their stock is much more limited than ordering directly from Kylie Cosmetics.

The Matte Liquid Lipsticks featured in this post are:

  • Boss:   Soft Cherry (also available in a matte bullet lipstick)
  • Kylie:   Soft Dusty Nude (also available in a Velvet liquid lipstick formula)
  • Angel:   Mauvy Pink
  • Bare:   Nude Pinky Beige (also available in a Velvet liquid lipstick formula)
  • The Bigger The Hoops:   Rose Pink

Swatchmas Day 3: My Top 5 Go-To Neutral Lipsticks

On the third day of Swatchmas, I give you my five favorite neutral lipsticks that I use all the time! All of these are permanent products and are different formulas from different brands, but I feel like just about everyone, no matter their age or skintone, could pull these off, so maybe you guys will fall in love with them too!

My top 5 go-to neutral lipsticks are:

  • 1)   Brave Lipstick from MAC Cosmetics:

This lipstick is a creamy, easy to apply formula with a Satin finish and is described as a pink-beige with white pearl. It contains 3 g / 0.1 oz of product and sells for $18.50 from MAC’s website or any MAC freestanding store or counter (which can now be found in select Ulta stores).

  • 2)   Blushbaby Luxe Matte Liquid Lipstick from TIME Los Angeles:

Blushbaby is an absolutely gorgeous matte liquid lipstick with a very lightweight, comfortable, long wearing formula. It’s a mid-tone dusty mauve that’s flattering on so many people and with so many looks. It contains 6.3g / 0.22 fl. oz of product and sells for $16 from www.shoptimela.com. This liquid lipstick is vegan and TIME is a cruelty-free brand.

  • 3)   Pillow Talk Matte Revolution Lipstick from Charlotte Tilbury:

This luxurious lipstick is a nude pink with a creamy matte formula. It contains 3.5 g / 0.12 oz of product and sells for $34 from Sephora or the Charlotte Tilbury website. Charlotte Tilbury is a cruelty-free company.

  • 4)   Spanked Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick from Fenty Beauty:

Spanked is a very creamy, natural matte formula that is a beautiful shade of dusty rose. It contains 1.7 g / 0.06 oz of product and sells for $18 from both Sephora and the Fenty Beauty website. Fenty Beauty is a cruelty-free brand.

  • 5)   Honeylove Lipstick from MAC Cosmetics:

Honeylove is described as a light beige tone with rose, and is one of MAC’s best selling matte lipsticks. Like Brave, it contains 3 g / 0.1 oz of product and sells for $18.50 from any MAC store, counter, or from www.maccosmetics.com or www.ulta.com.

Swatchmas Day 24: Fenty Beauty Gloss Bombs

On the twenty-fourth and last day of Swatchmas, I give you all three Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizers from Fenty Beauty by Rihanna! These are great if you just want to pop on some gloss with a hint of color and plenty of shimmer. They’re also beautiful when layered over any lipstick or lip pencil. I love this gloss formula because it’s not sticky at all and it contains shea butter so it’s very nourishing, which is great, especially during the winter.

If you’d like to pick these up, you can head to your local Sephora, Sephora inside JCPenney, or www.sephora.com. Gloss Bombs are also available directly from Fenty Beauty at www.fentybeauty.com.  Each lip gloss sells for $18 and contains 9 ml / 0.3 oz of product. Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is a cruelty free brand.

Swatchmas Day 23: My Top 5 Melt Cosmetics Lipsticks

On the twenty-third day of Swatchmas, I give you my five favorite lipsticks from Melt Cosmetics! I know, I know… It’s another Melt post, but I’ve been using the lipsticks from this brand since literally the first week they came out and to this day, I still tend to reach for them before any other brand of regular, bullet-type lipsticks. Their pigmentation is insane and their formula may be incredibly matte, but they’re still very comfortable to wear all day long. These five colors aren’t necessarily the ones I’m using the most at the moment, but I went through all of them and these are the one that I’ve used the most over time. I hope that you all like these as much as I do.

If you want to pick up some lipsticks from Melt, you can head to their website at http://www.meltcosmetics.com. Each lipstick sells for $19 and contains about 4 g / 0.14 oz of product. Melt Cosmetics is  cruelty free company and all of the lipsticks featured in this post are vegan.

The five Melt Cosmetics lipsticks featured in this post are:

  • Voyeur:   Cool toned, glazed pecan shade (ultra-matte)
  • Cherried:   Dark, blackened, wine stained plum with brown-ish undertones (ultra-matte)
  • Lucretia:   Blood red mixed with demure nude aka warm toned, rosy pink (ultra-matte)
  • Shady Lady:   Shadowy magenta and vaguely hot pink (ultra-matte)
  • Pink Heels:   Warm toned pink with a subtle coral undertone (ultra-matte)

Swatchmas Day 22: Melt Cosmetics Blushes

On the twenty-second day of Swatchmas, I give you all three blushes from Melt Cosmetics! I know three doesn’t seem like many, but these are so pigmented that they can be worn by a wide array of skin tones and all three colors are flattering on nearly everyone. I do hope they come out with a few more colors soon, and ones that will show up well on deeper skin tones without looking chalky, but some of their Blushlights are actually quite flattering on deep skin tones. I posted those earlier during Swatchmas, so if you want to check those out, click the link below:

Swatchmas Day 10: Melt Cosmetics Blushlights

Melt’s blushes are available on their website at www.meltcosmetics.com. Each blush sells for $22 and contain around 5 g / 0.18 oz of product. Melt cosmetics is a cruelty free company and all three of these blushes are vegan.
