As a followup to my last post, this is the other Luxe Matte Liquid Lipstick bundle from TIME Los Angeles. These six liquid lipsticks are warm toned nudes that are sure to make you think of fall colors, as well as a couple of PERFECT reds for the holidays, so it’s fitting that this is called the “Festive” bundle!

Each liquid lipstick contains 6.3g / 0.22 fl oz of product, which is a lot! If you compare it to most other brands, you’re getting half again to twice as much product in the same size tube that nearly everyone else uses. If you buy these as a bundle, you’re paying about half of what you would for a liquid lipstick from a brand like ABH or MAC (who has a similar, but drier formula). Even when purchased individually, you’re getting a product that’s only a few dollars more than something you’d find in a drugstore, so I’d still consider them a steal!
The formula for these liquid lipsticks is consistent within the bundle and feels like the same awesome quality that the Luxe Matte Liquid Lipsticks in the Cool Spectrum bundle have. They’re very easy to apply and feel lightweight and comfortable to wear. My favorite thing is that this formula isn’t drying like many matte liquid lipsticks are… As I mentioned, they remind me of MAC’s Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolours, but they don’t seem to dry out so much as the day goes on. You don’t have to worry about these fading or wearing off quickly, either, which is great since this bundle is full of bold colors. Wear time is an average of 8 hours but I’ll go into more details about how each lippie wears in the individual rundowns below. Oh and last but not least, these are vegan and cruelty free!
Tip: Be sure to gently exfoliate and moisturize your lips, then blot off any excess lip balm before applying these! If your lips are chapped or have any dry patches, the product can cling to and emphasize that. Also, drink plenty of water! Nothing makes your lips look naturally full and pouty quite like being well hydrated!
Macchiato: On the website, this is described as a “caramel macchiato warm nude shade, perfect for fall! Best suited for fair-dark skin tones”. It’s a medium, warm toned spice infused nude type of color that immediately makes me want a pumpkin spice latte. Call me basic all you want, but that’s what what it brings to mind for me! Once it sets, it has a perfectly matte finish. Macchiato is pretty unique and perfect for fall. It works on nearly any skin tone, though I can imagine this being especially gorgeous on medium dark skin tones. Keep in mind that even if you may not initially see this as your new favorite color, you can play around with liners if you want to tone it down a bit… I’ll list a few of my favorites below!
The texture for Macchiato was buttery without being too thick. It glides on and applies very evenly. What I like about this formula is that it gives you time to blend it out or blend it with another shade or liner before it dries but sets to a beautiful, soft matte finish. You can also layer this if you need to, but that shouldn’t be necessary since Macchiato is very pigmented and has great color payoff. It’s also opaque without having to use much product. I noticed a little fading in the center of the lip after about 5 hours and a few cups of coffee but the edges didn’t begin to fade until hour 6 or 7.
Dupes: I honestly couldn’t find a dupe for Macchiato… The closest I got was Ashton from Anastasia Beverly Hills but it’s darker and more reddish-brown.
Liners: There are several liners that you can use with Macchiato that will change it up a bit. The closest in color that I found was MAC’s Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Etcetera, though it’s still less warm toned. A few nudes and browns that you can use are MAC’s Lip Pencils in Stripdown, Chestnut, Cork, and Hover. If you want a liner that’s warmer toned and has a hint more reddish-brown to it, you can try Spice, Chicory, Auburn, or Mahogany.

Foliage: According to the website, Foliage is “a dark terra-cotta shade inspired by the beautiful changing of the leaves in autumn. Best suited for fair-dark skin tones.” It’s a medium dark, warm toned, bold terra-cotta color with a soft matte finish. Like Macchiato, it works on all skin tones, but you may want to pair it with a liner to switch up the color or tone it down if you aren’t used to colors like this! I admit that I’m used to wearing dark colors, nudes, and reds so this was a little different for me. I didn’t fall in love with Foliage until I put it on with some Chestnut Lip Pencil from MAC and now I can’t get enough of that combo!
Foliage feels liquidy and smooth without being runny, so it applies like a dream! The color payoff is fantastic, though for me, it did look a little darker on the lips than it does in the tube. Coverage is full and pretty even, though I did notice a teeny bit of patchiness near the center of my bottom lip. Luckily, that’s an easy fix since you can layer these liquid lipsticks without them pilling up and getting all blotchy! Wear time was around 5 hours before I had any fading in the center of my lip and closer to 8 hours before Foliage began to fall, errrr fade (bad seasonal puns FTW), around the edges of my lips.
Dupes: This is another unique shade that was very difficult to find a dupe for. The closest liquid lipstick I found was ABH’s Ashton, which is still much more mauve toned.
Liners: Like Macchiato, you can really play around with liners to play up or tone down this shade. A few of my favorite neutral MAC Lip Pencils to wear with Foliage are Stripdown, Cork, and Chestnut. For something that’s on the warmer side, you can use Hover, Spice, Chicory, or Mahogany.

Velvet Rouge: This liquid lipstick is “a soft rouge color inspired by royal velvet from the renaissance era. Best suited for fair-dark skin tones.” Let me just start by saying that I LOVE this color!!! This has quickly become my every day, go-to color… I wear it so much that I need a bundle that’s nothing but Velvet Rouge! Anyway, It’s a medium to medium dark, neutral to slightly warm toned mauvey red with a soft matte finish. Velvet Rouge really is one of those colors that is perfect on all skin tones for any occasion. Need a lip to go with a dramatic eye and a fierce wing? Velvet Rouge. Want something that’s like your-lips-but-better on a light makeup day? Velvet Rouge. Getting married and need the perfect lip for a bride? VELVET ROUGE! Okay I’ll stop, but you really do need this color.
This Luxe Matte Liquid Lipstick felt a little more creamy than some of the others in this bundle, but it still wasn’t too thick, so it applied easily. It also felt a bit softer on my lips once it set. Both color payoff and coverage were perfect using very little product. Wear time was about 5 to 6 hours on the center of the lip and 7 on the rest of the lip before any fading occurred. It did cling to the majority of my lip for 8 to 9 hours, though, so touchups were minimal.
Dupes: There are quite a few liquid lipsticks that are similar to Velvet Rouge, but none that are the exact same… A few from Anastasia Beverly Hills that are close are Allison, which is lighter and much cooler toned, Kathryn, which is darker and more of a cool toned mauve/pink, as well as Currant and Dazed, which are both considerably darker. MAC’s Burnt Spice Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour is lighter and more nude/mauve. Kat Von D’s Lolita Everlasting Liquid Lipstick is is darker, cooler, and less pink. Morphe’s Vinyl Matte Liquid Lip from their collab with Ourfa Zinali, is similar, but more brown toned.
Liners: My favorite liners to use with Velvet Rouge are Morphe’s Color Pencil in Vinyl (also in the limited edition collab with Ourfa Zinali), and MAC’s Soar, which is a little more pinky-mauve than Velvet Rouge but they work together perfectly for me! A few more MAC Lip Pencil’s that I like with this liquid lipstick are Half-Red, which is a little deeper and cooler toned, and Auburn, which is warmer and darker but creates a beautiful type of dimension.

Wine Country: Wine Country is a “a mild wine color inspired by the vineyards in “wine country”. Best suited for fair-deep skin tones.” It’s a dark, slightly cool toned red with pinky, wine infused undertones and a soft matte finish. If you aren’t someone who is crazy about super bright reds, or if some reds end up looking too dark and vampy on you, you’d probably love Wine Country! It’s a classic type of color that’s going to flatter anyone of any age or skin tone and is a great shade for fall and winter.
It felt quite creamy, much like Velvet Rouge, and applied with a very smooth texture. Color payoff is superb and coverage was 100% opaque with one quick swipe from the applicator. Wear time was around 6 hours around the center of the lip, and and impressive to 8 or 9 hours around the outer part of my lip. It didn’t stain, either, but lasted on the rest of my lips for nearly 10 hours! I had this on from the time I got ready for work until after dinner and only touched up twice that day.
Dupes: Wine Country was a little tricky to find a dupe for… ABH’s Currant Liquid Lipstick is slightly darker and more red. Dazed, also from ABH, is also a little darker and more berry toned.
Liners: You can use so many different liners with this lip, depending on if you want it to be more reddish or more wine stained. A few good reds to use are MAC’s Lip Pencils in Cherry, Brick, and Half-Red. You can also use MAC’s Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in He Said, She Said, which is a cool, berry toned red. A few others that are more of a berry to wine shade are Melt Cosmetics’ Ecstacy and Kink, MAC’s Pro Longwear Lip Pencils in Ms Diva and Dark Out, or MAC’s Regular Lip Pencil formula in Burgundy or Currant.

Cranberry: This is described as a “pinky-red winter cranberry shade inspired by the holidays! Best suited for fair-deep skin tones.” It’s truly the PERFECT holiday red! It’s a medium dark, bold, slightly cool toned pinky-red with a matte finish. This is such a classic red that any age or skin tone can wear this, day or night, holiday or not. It’s great too because reds like this can dress up any look or make you look and feel more put together on days when the rest of your makeup is minimal!
Cranberry’s texture isn’t as creamy as Velvet Rouge or Wine Country, but it’s still lovely and applies like the other Luxe Matte Liquid Lipsticks that I’ve reviewed. Color payoff is intense without having to apply much product and coverage is full and even without any layering necessary. Surprisingly, it didn’t stain my lips, even after having it on all day! Wear time was fantastic and I didn’t notice any fading in the center of my lips until I had this on for about 6 hours, and 8 to 10 hours for the rest of my lips!
Dupes: I actually thought that it would be easy to find a dupe for this because it’s such a classic red, but I was wrong! I found a few liquid lipsticks that are close but still not perfect dupes by any means… These are ABH’s Sarafine, which is much brighter and has more of a blue undertone; ABH’s Currant, which is darker and has more of a brown/neutral undertone, and ABH’s Tulip, which is lighter, brighter, and more pinky toned.
Liners: You don’t have to use a liner that’s the exact same type of red but MAC’s Pro Longwear Lip Pencils in Kiss Me Quick and He Said, She Said are close. A few good MAC Lip Pencils that you can try are Cherry, or even Brick and Burgundy, which are a little darker and will create more contrast. Melt also has a few AllDay/Everyday Lip Liners that I like to use with Cranberry, such as Ambrosia, Kink, and Ecstasy.

Crimson: Crimson is a “deep dark red inspired by the “vampy lip” of fall and winter that we all love! Best suited for fair-deep skin tones.” It’s like the pretty, goth sister to the other liquid lipsticks in the Festive bundle… It’s a deep, neutral to cool red with a hint of berry undertones. This is perfect for all skin tones, so long as you want to get noticed!
The texture of Crimson felt like the usual lightweight, non drying formula but it applied a little differently than the others… I say that because this is the only Luxe Matte Liquid Lipstick in this bundle, or out of any of them, that gave me any trouble (although it was only a little bit). You can see in the swatch photo waaaaay up there that this liquid lip can be a little patchy or streaky. This issue wasn’t so noticeable after layering it but I could still see some unevenness on my bottom lip. I find this to be a common thing with a great deal of deep red liquid lipsticks from any brand, though, so I’m not going to deduct a ton of points for that. Even though the coverage wasn’t perfect, the color payoff is great and looks very similar to how it does in the tube, though it may appear a little darker once it’s on if you have fair skin like I do. Wear time was on the shorter side with Crimson… I noticed fading in the center of my lips around hour 4, with the edges of my lip needing to be touched up after about 6 and a half to 7 hours. It didn’t stain, which is nice, and you can extend the wear time and opacity/coverage of this liquid lipstick by layering it over a liner applied all over the lip!
Dupes: Heathers from Anastasia Beverly Hills is pretty close but it does have more of a deep, blue/brown based red undertone. MAC’s Carnivorous Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour is also similar but is slightly darker.
Liners: Depending on just how bold, red, or vampy you want this to look, you can use SO many liners with Crimson! A few of my favorites are MAC’s Lip Pencils in Mahogany, Burgundy, Currant, Vino, and Nightmoth. You can also opt for MAC’s Pro Longwear Lip Pencils in Ms Diva, Dark Out, and Bespoken For if you want a longer wearing liner.
